Frank Sinatra in the 1940s
Just completed this morning: my latest digital artwork—Frank Sinatra in the 1940s.
I’ve always preferred his vocal style from this era, when he masterfully blended swinging rhythms with tender crooning, all wrapped in his magnificent rubato. His recordings with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra are legendary. Naturally, I’ve also revisited some of his iconic MGM musicals from the period showcasing timeless performances that echo the charm and elegance of a forgotten era.
