Hopeless Rage

Politics in this country resembles a long-running comedy show, except instead of making you laugh, it leaves you seething with hopeless rage. It’s a comedy only in the sense that our lawmakers are blatantly stealing trillions, flaunting their impunity under the guise of “immunity from suit" but making it too obvious that their denials look and sound utterly ridiculous. If you're allied with the fabled Toad and Crocodile, you can rest even easier, because even if you never pass meaningful legislation, and you collude with contractors to siphon off funds meant for essential infrastructure, these two giants have got your back.

They mock the Constitution and our laws, yet there’s no real public outrage. Maybe because some external force is stirring no resistance either, seemingly satisfied with the puppets they’ve installed in this government. Perhaps this was the deal: rule the country like monsters in exchange for dozens of military bases, stir trouble in the South China Sea to ignite a proxy war, and transform the nation into a factory for missiles and ammunition to fuel future conflicts, and they've got your back.

I believe even the drug trade is thriving under this arrangement, and it's another piece of the bargain that ensures these politicians and oligarchs remain untouchable. Then there are crime syndicates that these politicians need to protect because they secretly fund their election campaigns.

I also suspect that the former president’s downfall at the hands of a politically compromised international criminal court was orchestrated by this same external force. He was the lone obstacle to their sinister agenda—the only one capable of upending their demonic designs. And so, they made sure he was locked away.
